Back of Beyond - Chinese Painted Pt.4

'Ello loyal readers of OoaB today we have Part 4 of my ongoing Chinese Nationalist BoB/Bolt Action Force.

You can view the first 3 posts below:

Right now you are all caught up I have a fairly large update for your pleasure, so go get a cup of Tea or park your cheeks on the Toilet.

So above is the 1st piece of Field Artillery and another Officer which can be used as either another 2nd Lieutenant, Spotter or the 3rd crewman for my MMG (See earlier posts).

Below are my first 2 Levy finished, these are Pulp Miniatures but fit in quite well with the Copplestone BoB range.

I tried to keep them fairly close in colours to the standard Infantry with just the use of 4 clothing colours. Hopefully when combined with the rest of the Levy unit they'll look ragtag but still part of the same force.

Below is a few simple conversions (Some waiting on the basing to be finished) that brings the time period into WW2 a tad more and making the squads a tad more effective.

The paint queue is getting rather large.. I need to get cracking before the Wife sees :)

Quite looking forward to most of these, the Levy and Big Sword Squads will help to break up the Uniform look of the army and add a few bits of eye candy.

Well that's your lot for now, it's time to stand up and wipe.

Ta Ta for now!

    1. Thanks mate but they are only tabletop standard and it's because3 I have too much free time I get to paint so much. Limited Funds and too much time, not a good combo sadly.

  2. Liking these new offerings. The gun and crew especially look really cool. Will it count as a light howitzer ingame?

    1. Yeah it's a Type 41 77.7mm Field Gun so Light Howitzer should be suitable I hope :)

  3. Winter basing again. You really have a thing for crisp snow, frosted grass and icy earth. Are you really Father Christmas? You do have a beard after all.

    1. Hehe when you play real world forces you have to take in account their location and time setting as these are Northern Chinese around the Mountain areas snow was the best choice. As for the other snow bases on the other WW2 forces while that is a different type but it's so they can ally or go against each other, not only do the bases match the weapons and Tanks/Armour are also at the same point/year of the war.

Hhehe and yes I'm Satan.. sorry Santa and you are my HoHoHo!

  4. Do like the winter bases too, they come out brilliantly every time and work really well against the blue/grey uniforms :-)
